Meg grew up in the confines of the Palais Garnier where she was training to become a professional dancer. By fifteen she had made her début in the corps de balletl she believed she would soon progress and mature to become a principal within the company. After Don Juan Triumphant, Meg and her mother, along with Erik, fled abroad. It was not Meg’s intention and she remained largely opposed and bitter to the entire affair. Nonetheless, she understood that her mother was the only person she had left.It was the dedication to her family that necessitated unsavoury actions to survive a country she didn’t understand. Although helping establish 'Mister Y's' amusement park, Phantasma, her efforts were still needed to ensure both its survival and that of her own.

Returning to Montreuil-sur-Mer childless, Fantine soon found short-lived work in Monsieur Madeleine's factory.Dismissed with the discovery of her daughter and behind on multiple debts, Fantine soon sacrificed everything. Ultimately, she succumbed to consumption, never to be reunited with her precious daughter.

Meg Giry
Canon: v ;glistening and glimmering (canon). This includes anything that takes part during the ten years Meg is in America; includes the events of LND.v; leave the hurt behind.Mostly used for my post-LND verses. It centres around what would happen if Meg was removed from her situation within her main verse and the experience is positive, hence the "leave the hurt behind" part of this tag.v; look what i've become. This tag is used the same way the above tag is, but is used for any negative experience in Meg's post-LND tag.Pre-LND: v; poto.Covers anything that happens during The Phantom of The Opera and before LND.Cabaret: v; life is a cabaret.Anything that happens during Meg’s interaction with any character from the musical Cabaret and the events of the musical. In this verse she has left Phantasma and settled in Berlin, looking for jobs as a performer and also still dipping into prostitution while she finds her feet in another new country.v; there was a cabaret.Anything that happens post-musical.Canonically, she has lost the majority of her friends to the Nazi regime and finds herself alone again in the aftermath of war and a country trying to rebuild itself.World War II: v; the colour of despairUsed during any thread set during the events of WII.In this verse, she is a performer working for the resistance. As a secretary (and acutely aware of the benefits of charm) Meg gathers intel on adversary forces and relays it back to the resistance groups. If things go wrong, she is no stranger to killing should it come to it. She is prepared to do anything and everything to keep herself and the resistance safe.v; no longer feels like home. This tag is used for anything that occurs post-WWII.
Unable to truly stay in one place after the end of the war, she instead finds herself a nomad simply trying to put one foot in front of the other.Les Miserables: au; les miserables. This verse concerns the events and characters of Victor Hugo's Les Miserables.
As a "lovely lady" after family misfortune, Meg has broken away from her mother and is simply trying to get by the best she can alongside her daughter, Amélie.
